I love the “power to women” hype that is going around. The woman’s marches, the dynamic voices telling their stories and, of course, the fact that ladies are getting real about wanting healthy (not skinny!) bodies.
One such dynamic woman with this amazing view on body perception is Nessia Pula. I met Nessia just over a year ago whilst she was completing her beauty therapy training at Camelot International in Bloemfontein. What struck me the most about her is that after reaching her 40’s, she finally decided step out of her admin roles in business and go for her long-yearned passion: The Beauty Industry. This, despite already being a successful business woman. Nessia enrolled and started taking full time beauty classes. “Getting the correct education is vital for a successful business in beauty,” Nessia tells me. I couldn’t agree more.
Upon completing her studies, Nessia bought “The Firm” slimming franchise and started trading in Bloemfontein. The Firm focuses primarily on weight loss and cellulite treatments with a difference. The treatments include slim line faradic machine treatments combined with a healthy eating plan (which they provide) as well as water therapy. Nessia explains to me that this holistic approach ensures successful, lasting results.
The Firm” Bloemfontein’s biggest success story is a male client who had dropped from 168kg’s to a slimmer 113 kg’s in only nine months’ time. His clothing size dropped from a size 56 to a size 44 in this time period, Nessia tells me. She then shares her own before and after photos, showing me that she very much walks her talk.
